(The hardest part - other than actually sitting down a figuring out a good time to take a week break - has been waiting. But that was kind of what her life was all about, wasn't it? Waiting to go on stage. Waiting to meet interviews. Waiting, waiting, waiting.
Maybe it was different this time because she wanted to meet up with Morgan and, well ... live out all the things they'd talked about doing over text. Yes, the things like Alpaca World and eating out at favorite restaurants and doing the touristy things, but also ...
The things that no one else needed to know that they were going to get up to. Beach things. Lots of time spent enjoying each other rather than the sun and sea. Private things.
So when there was a knock at the door, she practically jumped up to answer it. Propriety be damned, she was so ready to go. Still, despite her haste, when she eventually got the door open, her expression was as neutral as she could possibly make it.)
[No one could call Morgan weak-willed, so the fact that he needs every last drop of willpower he possesses to keep his expression schooled and neutral says a heck of a lot indeed. But somehow he does manage, offering only a polite nod.]
Ma'am.
[But it's a game they both have to play though, right? Both at the moment and in ordinarily life; her on the stage or in interviews or whatnot, him in the board room or during some sort of negotiations. Just one more reason they relate well, and why he enjoys talking to her so much once they'd gotten past their professional masks. All that experience comes in handy now, since he doesn't so much as twitch on stepping in, nor does he slam the door hastily behind him.]
[Only when it's finally shut and the illusion complete does he finally break into the huge grin he's been suppressing all this time, yanking the sunglasses off so he can get a proper, unobstructed view of her. No more pretending here! Especially since saying an actual word means he has to swallow and put some effort into getting it past his nervous excitement.]
