Truth be told, she knew very well that they probably never would have met if not for her being part of Huntrix, and the thought of that was nearly unbearable. Maybe things weren't always as easy as she would like them to be, but at least they were granted moments like this because of the abilities he had as Superman. Rumi knew that she shouldn't take anything for granted.
One day, maybe they could be Rumi and Clark and nothing else. Maybe not. But whatever the future brought them, she knew that everything would be okay if they faced it together.)

Gosh he was lucky. So lucky. It was an epic kind of love, he absolutely knew that. Rumi didn’t do things in half-measures so it was no surprise that when she loved it was with full force.]

(While Rumi couldn't begin to say that love was like this for every couple, it was for she and Clark. They didn't necessarily have to be physically together - although she much preferred it - for her to feel his love for her from afar, to know that no matter what he was doing, he was thinking about her. And she hoped that he felt the same from her, too.
And she knew how lucky she was to have found her person in Clark. For as much as she wasn't ready to let him go for the night, he was right. She did need to sleep. Hopefully she would have lovely dreams of the future they wanted for themselves. And when she woke up, he'd be right here by her side if he could be. That was something to look forward to.
She grumbled a bit, but there was no real annoyance in it. In the moment, she was perfectly content.)

It made it that much harder for him to leave when it came time but once she fell asleep he very, very carefully extracted himself from her before flying back home. He was definitely going to be there when it was time to wake her up though.]
